Since 2013, Standard Heating, Cooling & Insulating has helped over 17,000 New York households reduce energy costs and improve comfort through the Empower Program — delivering more than $100 million in no-cost upgrades to homes across the Mohawk Valley and Capital District.

Starting August 1, 2025, NYSERDA is changing how the Empower Program works — all new applications must be submitted directly through NYSERDA, not through contractors like Standard. While we’re no longer able to guide customers through the application process, we remain a NYSERDA-approved contractor and continue to offer rebates and incentives for qualifying projects outside of Empower.

Our legacy with Empower laid the foundation. Now, we’re building something even stronger:
